Questa settimana celebriamo due maestri del cinema. Ettore Scola, nato il 10 maggio 1931, diceva che “il cinema è uno specchio dipinto” e proprio così sono i suoi film, realisti e simbolici, grotteschi e poetici.
Il 16 maggio 1915, nasceva Mario Monicelli, uno dei grandi nomi della commedia all’italiana. I suoi film hanno avuto una grande influenza sul nostro immaginario, basta pensare alle espressioni armata Brancaleone e supercazzola, entrate addirittura nel vocabolario.
This week we celebrate two masters of cinema. Ettore Scola, born on 10 May 1931, used to say that "cinema is a painted mirror" and this is exactly how his films are, realist and symbolic, grotesque and poetic.
On May 16, 1915, Mario Monicelli was born, he was one of the great masters of Italian comedy. His films have had a great influence on our imagery, just think of the expressions armata Brancaleone and supercazzola, which have even entered the vocabulary.
